Our curriculum is comprised of selected materials culled from award winning educational programs. Combined with art projects, music, games, and activities, these lessons come alive more than ever. Academic areas include:

Jewish History: Starting with the Creation of the world, students will gain an overview of their roots, as well as an appreciation for a heritage and culture that has been preserved throughout the ages.

Holidays and Shabbat: As each Jewish holiday approaches, students will gain a deeper understanding of the customs and traditions that identify these special days.

Values and Mitzvot: Students will explore and discuss practical applications of good deeds and ethics, bringing these ever-important lessons into their personal life.

Israel: Our students will understand that Israel is not just another country but our own homeland; a land that is truly the “Promised Land,” both spiritually and physically.

Hebrew:

Younger students are introduced to the Hebrew alphabet through games, crafts, songs, and stories, gaining comfort with the letters. From Grades 2 onwards, our school uses the highly motivational Aleph Champ program to ensure that your child will read fluently by the time s/he graduates from Pardess Hebrew School. They gain confidence and familiarity with the Siddur-Hebrew Prayer Book.

The children will learn various vocabulary words and common language words in Modern Hebrew.

Prayer:

Pardess Hebrew School introduces prayers and songs, increasing both the amounts of prayers and the depth of their meanings, as students progress. Ultimately, our goal is for our students to attain a familiarity with the words of the prayers and its deeper messages.
